Hi, I’m Melanie, Empowerment Coach and your personal cheerleader 🤟🏼

Find out more about me on LinkedIn – and in compact form in this article:

“Making everyone happy” is your key theme? Then you’re not alone – I tried the same…

For a long time, I was an expert on what other people want. If there had been a title for it, I would have successfully completed the “Master of being Everybody’s Darling” back then. The main module: constantly paying attention to the opinions and needs of everyone and everything – except me. And the result? I led a life that was more suited to Grandma Hildegard next door than to me ❌

Then came yoga, meditation, my yoga teacher training and a degree in psychology. And finally the courage and inner strength to do MY thing, to stand up for myself and to say “no” sometimes. And I would now like to pass this superpower on to you 🤟🏼

As a psychologist by training, I will accompany you on your path to your authentic self. My approach integrates psychological methods with yoga philosophy to facilitate holistic change – away from self-doubt and self-determination towards self-confidence and your courageous, authentic life.

We work intensively on 4 core areas that form the foundation for your courageous self. Using a combination of psychological techniques and yoga philosophy, we work on teasing out your inner rebel, strengthening you and boosting your self-confidence – so that you can boldly go out with what YOU feel from your heart 💛

Would you like some inspiration on a specific topic? Individual coaching sessions are available for this purpose👇

Bring your topic, your blocking belief, or your current challenge—in a 50-minute session, we’ll start working on it together! To make sure we’re a good fit and to determine which type of session is the right for you, we’ll start with a 20-minute 0€ introductory call. During this call, you can ask any questions you have, and together we’ll figure out the next step. Click here for the calendar tool (if it is not displayed directly below).

I can offer support in the following areas: giftedness, neurodiversity (such as ADHD and high-functioning autism), personal development for self-employed people, attachment and relationship issues, building self-confidence and self-acceptance, and stress.

Would you like to book coaching as a business owner or self-employed individual? If so, please send an email to me************@********il.com. The session price applies to private clients. (For business owners, this price is plus VAT.)

I look forward to seeing you! 😊

What people say about working with me…

  • Working with Melanie has really helped me bring more clarity and structure back into my challenging daily work routine. With Melanie’s support, I’ve learned strategies for setting better priorities and not getting constantly bogged down in a thousand to-dos. With her guidance, I’ve started planning my days more realistically and focusing on the two essential things that really matter each day. This has greatly improved my time management and helped me work with greater focus while feeling more relaxed at the same time. Her approach to coaching was also particularly valuable to me: she wasn’t just strategic and clear, but also an incredibly motivating cheerleader. Melanie noticed and celebrated even the smallest steps of progress. That helped me take action, stay the course, and regain confidence in my own work rhythm. With her, I felt truly understood and supported, while at the same time receiving honest advice. I can wholeheartedly recommend Melanie’s services!

  • Together with Melanie, I was able to change my perspective during the last five coaching sessions. She helped me to see myself from a positive perspective again and to become aware of my strengths and abilities. At the beginning of the coaching sessions, my thought patterns were characterized by insecurity and thoughts such as “Am I good enough?” and “Can I really do this?”.
I was not only insecure on the outside, but above all on the inside. With her empathetic and cheerful manner, Melanie made me feel immediately comfortable in the coaching sessions with her. Together, we questioned, uncovered, and dissolved old beliefs. I was able to conclude my last coaching session with the sentence, “I am at home within myself.”
She helped me to regain inner stability, to trust myself, and to reflect that self-confidence outwardly. I wholeheartedly recommend working with her.

  • In autumn 2024 I came across some of Melanie’s posts & was immediately impressed by her warm manner. Sometimes all it takes is an honest laugh. After taking part in a webinar, I decided to embark on a journey with Melanie and take the plunge. She accompanied me with a lot of compassion & dedication. I learnt to better understand my needs, my emotions and ultimately myself. It’s not so bad if you don’t know how to do that. You can learn it. And it’s even really fun. Because there comes a point when the first successes become visible and you could burst with joy. Melanie authentically lives what she teaches. The communication outside of our sessions has also strengthened me & helped me to build trust. Her radiance & courage inspire me. I am grateful that Melanie shares her experiences and talents with us & gives us the opportunity to discover our superpower.

  • Melanie has helped me to be more aware of my boundaries and to consciously say ‘no’ when I need to. Thanks to her, I now listen more clearly to my thoughts and move forward courageously instead of slowing myself down.
As a perfectionist, it was liberating to talk to Melanie about the constant pressure to judge myself. Now I say more often: I am proud of what I am and what I have achieved. Melanie has shown me that the answers are already within me and that I can trust my inner voice more.
Her inspiration has also made me really want to do my morning journaling again. It helps me to organise my thoughts. I now also have little notes on my computer that remind me how valuable I am – as a mum, a person and a writer. Thank you, Melanie, for encouraging me to go my own way with confidence! 🙂

  • Although I have already dealt extensively with the topic of setting boundaries as a coach, Melanie’s course “Authentically You” gave me new and valuable insights.
Especially for highly sensitive and empathetic people—like many of my clients—it is so important to say no lovingly and take your own needs seriously.
With her warm, clear manner, Melanie created a space where genuine trust could develop. The combination of three live group coaching sessions, a personal one-on-one session, and the supporting materials and videos was perfectly balanced and inspiring.
I am very happy that I was able to gain so much, not only for myself but also for my work as a coach. Thank you so much, Melanie!

  • Your way of working and speaking picked me up immediately. There was this immediate feeling: this is the right place for me.
Before we started working together, I kept having thoughts and feelings that conflicted with each other. My mind said one thing, my intuition another. Now both are sitting at the same table.
Wishes and goals that had been hidden for a long time also came up and I realised one of them straight away. I’m already looking forward to the month of sun, wind and sea!
What helped me in particular? Your way of asking questions, your instinct for what to ask and how to ask it, really hit the spot for me.

  • I was very fortunate to have Melanie as a colleague for 18 months—and she enriched our team in a truly wonderful way. […]
Melanie has a keen sense for people and processes. Especially when preparing and leading a workshop, she demonstrated how she combines strategic thinking, clear communication, and genuine enthusiasm. This was not only inspiring but also noticeably helped us grow as a team. Working as a coach is simply the perfect fit for her. She brings passion, clarity, and a genuine interest in people—along with the ability to inspire them to take action. I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to work with her and look forward to seeing where her journey takes her.

Frequently asked questions

Psychological support for gifted individuals and self-employed people combines scientifically grounded psychological methods—such as cognitive behavioral therapy and ACT—with a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by neurodivergent people. Please note that I am not a psychotherapist under German law. I live in Denmark and am therefore subject to Danish regulations and laws. You can find more information below under “You have an M.Sc. in Psychology—what does that mean?”

My one-on-one sessions are specifically designed for people who identify as gifted or neurodiverse or feel themselves seen in the points I describe here on my website — whether or not they have been diagnosed (with giftedness, ADHD, or high-functioning autism). I also frequently work with self-employed individuals, female entrepreneurs, and executives who appear to be functioning well on the outside but feel exhausted on the inside, as well as twice-exceptional individuals and self-employed people with giftedness and/or ADHD.

The online sessions take place via end-to-end encrypted video calls—so you can join from anywhere. In person sessions are possible near Gameml Strand in Copenhagen. After a free introductory consultation, we’ll choose the right package together: intensive 1:1 coaching (3 months, starting at €2,500), or individual 50-minute sessions (1,150 DKK, approx. €153.90). In 1:1 sessions, experience has shown that some people want or need support between sessions, while others prefer to focus solely on the sessions and then have the time in between to themselves. Both approaches are perfectly fine.

No. Many of the clients I work with recognize themselves in the descriptions but do not have a formal diagnosis. That’s not a problem—in our 1:1 sessions, we work with what you bring to the table and what you’re experiencing.

Giftedness, neurodiversity (such as ADHD and high-functioning autism), personal development as a freelancer, entrepreneur, or executive, issues related to attachment and relationships, and building self-confidence and self-acceptance, and stress. These are the areas in which I am constantly expanding my knowledge, staying informed, and will continue to specialize over time.

Feel free to email me at me************@********il.com. I have a growing network and know many psychologists as well as places where you can find the right professionals for you, and I’d be happy to help you get in touch if I know someone who can assist you with your specific issue.

We’re probably a good fit if you’re exhausted by everyday life and the stress and pressure of hiding your feelings have become too much. If you struggle to set boundaries, express your feelings, and deal with them; if you feel disconnected; and if your mind constantly doubts and overanalyzes everything. And if you’re open to a holistic approach, aware that change takes time, and willing to actively contribute to the process.

My approach is integrative and draws primarily on cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness-based methods—supplemented by elements of acceptance and commitment therapy as well as my additional training in yoga therapy—while always placing the client’s needs at the center.

While studying psychology in Germany, I worked as a mentor with children and adolescents and also gained experience working with people on the autism spectrum. Over the years, my path has increasingly led me into the field of giftedness—I taught undergraduate psychology students in intelligence assessment, have been providing one-on-one coaching to gifted individuals for several years, and collaborate with the Gifted Institute in Denmark. Today, I work as a coach and psychologist both online with clients in my own practice and in person in Copenhagen as part of a group practice (Village Therapy Copenhagen).

I studied psychology in Germany and hold a master’s degree from the Open University of Hagen. I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology from HSD Döpfer in Cologne. I am not a psychotherapist under German law. It is also important for you to know that I live in Denmark and am therefore subject to Danish law (documentation, authorizations, etc.). In Denmark, the title “therapist” is not protected, whereas the title “psychologist” is protected and may only be used by individuals who have completed a university degree (as is the case with me). I am recognized as a psychologist in Denmark. The next step here would be to obtain recognition and the title of “clinical psychologist”—which you can think of as similar to a psychotherapist in Germany—where you must demonstrate additional training and X years of experience. That’s why I usually refer to myself as a psychologist with an M.Sc., since this title is as consistent as possible for both countries.

Since I live in Denmark, as a psychologist I am subject to the oversight of the Danish “Styrelsen for Patientsikkerhed.” I am also subject to the GDPR, am required to keep records of our sessions, and must, for example, attend regular supervision sessions. You can read more on the Styrelsen for Patientsikkerhed website or on the website of the Danish Psychological Association, of which I am a member.

My degree in psychology has been recognized by the Danish Supervisory Board, and I am a member of the Danish Psychological Association (Dansk Psykologisk Forening). I am also a member of a German network of psychologists and therapists who specialize in giftedness (Können-Macht-Spaß).

I regularly participate in group and individual supervision to support my professional development and ensure safe and ethical practice.

Yes, for the intensive one-on-one coaching over several months (Rent Your Business Buddy package). The 50-minute sessions must be paid for in full. However, feel free to reach out to me—we’ll find a solution.

You don’t have to be. For me, yoga means more than sport: the general philosophy and the mindset behind yoga – and that’s what this is all about. Mindset. In addition to my academic and professional background, I am a certified yoga instructor with specialized training in “Yoga for Anxiety.” I am firmly convinced of the power of yoga and incorporate its methods and mindful approach as an integral part of my work. My goal is to continually deepen the integration of yoga-based therapeutic and mindfulness practices for my clients.

I’m always there for you – just write to me or book an introductory call and we can have a relaxed chat 🙂
