Typical Topics in my psychological counseling

Your Path to more Clarity and Ease: The Glow Loop
Personalized psychological support that focuses on both your mind AND your body.
From experience, I can say that a one-on-one process rarely goes in a straight line. There are no rigid modules that we stubbornly work through; instead, there’s your very own dynamic. Nevertheless, there are often typical milestones that provide guidance for most people and can help you understand your own system.
I call this development cycle the Glow Loop:
Get Clear – Assessing Your Current Situation
An important first step is to take a close look at what’s really going on inside you right now. We start to sort through the many loose ends in your mind while also taking your nervous system into account. Instead of overanalyzing your emotions logically, you’ll discover how to interpret their physical signals again.
Lead Yourself – Self-Efficacy
This is often where the biggest “aha” moment happens: the realization that you’re in the driver’s seat. You’re the only person who can determine your direction. As soon as someone feels this sense of self-efficacy, people usually stop waiting around and actively take responsibility for their needs.
Own It – Acceptance
Clarity is normally only helpful if you stop judging yourself for your unique qualities. In this phase, you’ll discover how you can accept yourself, your limits, and how they can work out exactly as they are. This process should feel easy and can even be truly enjoyable.
Walk It – Implementation
Real change usually comes from practical experience in everyday life. New, positive experiences signal to your nervous system, “I am safe.” This is how courage, self-confidence, and new patterns can develop over the long term.
Don’t worry: personal growth is a cycle, not a one-way street. Things don’t have to go perfectly overnight. The Glow Loop is a mindset you carry with you, consisting of several interconnected steps. When things get rocky in your day-to-day life, you’ll usually know which areas to focus on.
Before we begin the psychological coaching, we’ll get to know each other during a free, 20-minute introductory call. In a relaxed setting and without any pressure, we’ll check in together where you’re at right now and how I can best support you.
Live YOUR life. Grandma Hildegard may not have always liked it, but what the heck – she had her own, she doesn’t need yours.
Remember: you are you. Not Grandma Hildegard.

What Might Change for You
Even though every psychological counseling session and therapy process is unique, the gifted and neurodivergent individuals (e.g., those with ADHD) who work with me most often report:
- Greater clarity about what they truly need and want.
- Increased self-confidence—both internally and externally.
- More authentic relationships in a social environment where they no longer have to pretend to be someone they’re not.
- More peace of mind and a noticeably stronger connection to your own body.
- Fewer mental blocks caused by others’ expectations or your own fears.
- An easier time saying “no” as soon as it feels right in your body.
- Greater composure when facing procrastination and acceptance of your own needs, emotions, and unique qualities.
- Healthier emotional regulation, where feelings are finally allowed to serve a useful purpose again.
Is that what you want, too? Let’s get to know each other and see how I can support you.
Client Perspectives – Experiences with 1:1 Support for Gifted, Neurodivergent, and Self-Employed Individuals
Client Perspectives – Experiences with 1:1 Support for Gifted, Neurodivergent, and Self-Employed Individuals

Hi, I’m Melanie, a psychologist M.Sc., gifted and neurodivergent myself — and I’d love to be your personal cheerleader.
I used to often feel like an alien: as if I didn’t really belong anywhere. My mind was always racing; I constantly put pressure on myself and questioned everything. Back then, I just wished I had someone by my side who would support me and show me that it’s okay to be exactly who I am. Someone who would take me aside and say, “I believe in you. You can do this!”
Today, I want to be that source of support for you. With me, you can take off your mask and just be yourself. Together, we’ll explore what’s going on in your mind and body, how your patterns work, and how you can use them to your advantage. Because what you’re feeling isn’t wrong.
In therapy / psychological counseling:
- I focus on topics such as giftedness and neurodiversity (including ADHD and autism), healthier emotional regulation, attachment and relationship issues, and building self-confidence that sustains you regardless of your performance or external evaluations.
- I particularly enjoy supporting self-employed individuals, entrepreneurs, and executives in their personal development.
- I emphasize a scientifically grounded approach based on cognitive behavioral therapy, combined with mindfulness-based methods (such as MBCT), practical tools for emotion regulation, and yoga therapy.
My certifications and training:
- Master of Science in Psychology
- Therapeutic Method Training (Gifted Institute, Denmark)
- Certified Consultant in Giftedness and High Giftedness (see below)
- 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training
- Yoga for Anxiety and Trauma-Informed Yoga
