As a gifted woman, I’ve often felt like an alien in this world. As if I didn’t really fit in anywhere. On top of that, my mind was almost always racing; I constantly felt under pressure and second-guessed myself.
Somehow, I managed to find my way through it on my own. Over time, I found a way to feel calm again in both my mind AND body and to walk my path with clarity and self-confidence. Later on, I was also supported by coaches, somatic specialists, and a psychologist. But I wish I’d had someone by my side from the very beginning—someone who was genuinely interested in me. Personally, that would have taken a huge weight off my shoulders. Taken away, the burden of feeling like a “problem” and of being “wrong.” To feel freer and lighter again. I felt this difference profoundly when I was no longer alone with my issues. You can read up on a lot of things and get a lot of theory—but my experience shows that some challenges are easier to overcome when you have someone who supports you and makes you feel seen. And who can hold a safe space where you’re allowed to grow.

Before you take the plunge, you need clarity: What’s going on in your mind and heart right now? What are you thinking, feeling, and needing?
The key here is to simply observe, rather than analyze yet again.
Lead yourself – You already have everything inside you. Everything you need and want to be.
Once you have clarity, you can learn to take back control of your life. Because, honestly: you’re the only one who can do that.
In this step you will usually begin to realize where you need to start in order to make a real difference. Moving away from “This is just happening to me” and toward “I’m now actively there for MYSELF”!
Own it! you are worth it.
Without ownership, clarity and self-direction remain nothing more than nice ideas. To make your courageous self a reality, it is important to learn to stand by yourself!
This is also very much about accepting yourself and the way things are—while at the same time approaching the process with joy.
Walk it – live your desired live.
And then? Do it, do it, do it! Dare to live the life you want to live in a safe environment step by step. Because that’s the most important way to build lasting self-confidence:
New experiences = New evidence for your nervous system: “I am safe.” Usually, that is how courage is learnt and new healthy habits can grow to last in your daily life.
Important: It doesn’t have to be “perfect” right away. It’s a process that usually becomes more natural over time and needs to be allowed to unfold. Positive results usually develop as you keep putting it into practice.
It’s about learning to sense your body’s signals more clearly over time and knowing WHERE to step in when things start to feel unstable again. The goal is to develop a sense of self-efficacy and, with it, regain confidence in yourself. Experience shows that this also helps reduce stress and anxiety over time.
